Cannabis can not only help to cause cancer cell death and stop the spread of the cancer, but fights cancer indirectly as well by increasing the cancer-fighting activity of the body’s own cannabinoids. 61 A 2004 study showed cannabinoids protect against inflammation of the colon, thus reducing the risk of colon cancer and possibly aiding in its treatment. 62
