Sleep Apnea

The common treatment methods for sleep apnea are both limited and short term. 28 A study conducted in 2013 found that THC is “safe and well-tolerated” by sleep apnea patients. 29 Sleep apnea is thought to be caused by a reduction of muscle in the upper airway. 30 A recent study shows that THC can stabilize respiratory patterns while improving the upper airway muscles. 31
